• Dollar spot is caused by a fungal pathogen that blights leaf tissues but does not affect turfgrass roots or crowns (Latin, Purdue University).

    Symptoms & Signs:

    • Circular patches of bleached turf
    • Leaf lesions, light tan with reddish-brown borders
    • Lesions may girdle leaf blade
    • White fungal (cobwebby) growth, may be visible with early morning dew.

    Time of Occurrence:

    • Spring and Summer (humid temperatures, 60-80 degrees)
